this is an experiment on the genre of audio drama. building upon elements of lamentation, the play harnesses acoutic drift — straying from the symbolic message of sound — as the main instrument of deconstruction. submerged under the waves is a perceiver whose causal listening does not tether them to any kind of safeboat and does not bring them back to shore. learning to swim is an exercise in futility; the only sound strategy is to let yourself float.
